TSN has done a poll of 10 NHL team scouts as to who the top prospects for the 2008 NHL draft are. The results are here.
The unanimous pick at #1 is Sarnia Sting (OHL) forward Steven Stamkos. OHL prospects actually dominate the list, with all of the top four being from the OHL. Three OHL defencemen fill the #2, #3, and #4 spots: Drew Doughty, Alex Pietrangelo, and Michael Del Zotto.
There are three WHLers in the top ten: at #5, Kelowna defenceman Luke Schenn; at #7, Regina defenceman Colten Teubert; and at #8, Everett forward Kyle Beach. Honorable mention goes to Lethbridge forward Zach Boychuk, who just missed the top ten. Other WHLers mentioned by scouts include Kelowna defenceman Tyler Myers, Vancouver forward James Wright, and Swift Current forward Geordie Wudrick.
