News roundup

Saskatoon is feeling deep in goalies all of a sudden.

A look at who's looking good in Chilliwack's camp, including Ryan Howse.

Red Deer's new overager from the Texas Tornado is feeling right at home in Alberta oil country.

Meanwhile, in Calgary, overage candidate Adam Ross appreciates teammates who speak his language. The Hitmen staff are also pleased with their two new imports. And WHL legend Paddy Ginnell's grandson laces 'em up at Hitmen camp.

Still with Euros, Lethbridge is pleased with their new Finnish goalie. Meanwhile, the question of just how good Hurricanes forward Dwight King can be may very likely be answered this year if he has anything to say about it. And he does.

Tons o' cuts in Brandon and they're down to 27 players now. With 4 others sure to go soon (there's 2 goalie too many, 1 forward is 15 years old and there's still 1 too many overagers too), the roster is almost set there already.

Much cuts in Saskatoon too; thanks to the blog of Blades p-b-p guy Les Lazaruk for the gory details. Of further note there is that veteran forward Troy Crowley has decided to leave the WHL to pursue his education.
