USA Hockey has named their roster for the World Juniors. One WHLer on the team, Vancouver Giants defenceman Jon Blum. I see Team USA has suffered the same fate as Canada when it comes to eligible players in the NHL. There are three Team USA-eligible players in the NHL (Patrick Kane, Erik Johnson, Peter Mueller) and none of them have been made available to USA Hockey by their NHL teams, just like none of Canada's six NHLers were made available to them.
Sweden has also named their roster for the World Juniors. Two WHLers on that one - Robin Figren of Edmonton and Oscar Moller of Chilliwack.
Still with Chilliwack, they have now answered my question from yesterday about how there's enough ice time for Chris Vanduynhoven when there wasn't enough for Cam Stevens: they have reassigned veteran defenceman Kevin Boutillier to the AJHL's Brooks Bandits.
