No tiebreaker game necessary this year....Spokane beat Gatineau 3-1 last night to finish the round-robin at 3-0 and send Gatineau home at 0-3. So Spokane is going to the final (they knew that before the game of course) and the two OHL teams will play in the semifinal on Friday night for the right to face the Chiefs for the big prize.
Belleville and Kitchener still have to play their round-robin game tonight but the outcome is not that meaningful....tonight's winner will get to be the "home" team in the semifinal, which means the last line change, etc. Other than that though, they're both playing each other in the semifinal no matter who wins tonight.
