First, Gregg Drinnan is reporting that the Tri-City Americans are in need of a coach. Don Nachbaur resigned the job last night in order to take the head coaching job of the AHL's Binghamton Senators. He will be introduced in that position today.

With Nachbaur resigning, the Americans join the Hitmen as the WHL clubs who need a coach. Former NHLer (and longtime AHL/IHL head coach) John Van Boxmeer's name has been linked to the Hitmen job but nothing official has come out of that yet so perhaps they are still looking and interviewing.
The other story is that we finally have some more info on the David Musil situation, courtesy of Jeff Bromley of the Kootenay News-Advertiser. He put the story on his blog too, so we can all read it.
The story doesn't answer ALL the questions we may have about the situation, but it answers many of them at least.

Found this comment curious: "Certain markets (Vancouver, Everett, Calgary to name a few) already have built in advantages over other markets". How does Everett have an atvantage? Everett is below the boarder and the smallest or second smallest market below the boarder. Any atvantage in Everett would be a result of good ownership and a group of very dedicated fans that keep attendance high. Any WHL team could have that.
