In the first deal, Tri-City has taken the 13th round 2010 bantam pick they got from Prince George in the Spencer Asuchak deal, and flipped it to Vancouver for 19 year old forward Todd Kennedy.
Hey, it's a 13th round pick. That's the modern-day WHL equivalent of being traded for a bus.
In the other deal, Portland continues to get younger by trading 19 year old forward Colin Redden to Prince Albert for a 2010 4th round pick. With the deal, and the move of Kurtis Mucha on the weekend, Portland now drops into 22nd on the average age list. So, they are the youngest team in the league now.
