Slow day today so for fun, here's some shootout stats.....I took the results of every shootout the WHL has had since they introduced it in 05-06, and here are the all-time best shooters amongst players with at least five attempts:
Martin Hanzal: 4 for 5 = 80%
Brennan Sonne: 6 for 8 = 75%
Dustin Boyd: 4 for 6 = 66.67%
Juraj Gracik: 4 for 6 = 66.67%
Chris Ray: 4 for 6 = 66.67%
Ian McDonald: 5 for 8 = 62.5%
Daine Todd: 5 for 8 = 62.5%
Garret Festerling: 3 for 5 = 60%
Juuso Puustinen: 3 for 5 = 60%
Riley Holzapfel: 3 for 5 = 60%
Cody Almond: 3 for 5 = 60%
Nick Holden: 3 for 5 = 60%
And the worst, again amongst players with at least five attempts:
Brett Robertson: 0 for 7 = 0%
Troy Brouwer: 0 for 6 = 0%
Brad Erickson: 0 for 6 = 0%
Blake Comeau: 0 for 5 = 0%
Kirill Starkov: 0 for 5 = 0%
Dana Tyrell: 0 for 5 = 0%
Colton Sceviour: 0 for 5 = 0%
Codey Burki: 1 for 12 = 8.33%
Mitch Fadden: 1 for 10 = 10%
Andrew Clark: 1 for 9 = 11.11%
Michal Repik: 1 for 9 = 11.11%
Brandon Sutter: 1 for 8 = 12.5%
Drayson Bowman: 1 for 8 = 12.5%
Marc Desloges: 1 for 7 = 14.29%
Ryan Russell: 1 for 7 = 14.29%
Funny how some big-time snipers on that list can't score a goal in a shootout to save their lives, while a grinder like Brennan Sonne is shootout money.

Alan,
I've always been curios as to how Penalty Shot percentages compare to Shootout percentages. It sounds silly, but I have a hunch that there's a noticeable difference there.
Got any stats?
