The WHL today announced the three cities bidding for the 2010 Memorial Cup.
They are Brandon, Kelowna, and Everett. With Kelowna just having had the thing in 2004, they probably are longshots to get it again. So this race is really between Brandon and Everett.
I just don't get why Central division teams never even bid for the thing. Seriously, when was the last time a team in the WHL's most centrally-located division actually bid on the Memorial Cup? Was it Calgary's bid which lost out to Regina for the 2001 Cup?
