Tuesday notes

News coming out of the first day of Team Canada's Olympic orientation camp is that the #1 line is shaping up to be Sidney Crosby centering Rick Nash and Jarome Iginla. Think about the damage a line like that could do for a minute, with Crosby's slick passing setting up two of the NHL's best shooters.

Personally, I think they need to invite Cory Stillman to camp and put him on that line. That way Crosby, Stills, and Nash would be back together again.

I know anyone under 30 didn't get that joke. Aaaaanyway.....some WHL news now.....we start in Moose Jaw, where the Warriors goalies are getting acquainted with new goalie coach David Marcoux, who is slumming in the WHL this season after spending the past several years in the NHL. And still in Moose Jaw, a 16 year old and a 19 year old are amongst the rookie hopefuls who have stood out so far. And another older rookie, an 18 year old defenceman, is trying to crack the roster in Red Deer.

In Regina, Curtis Hunt is in a fog about some of the players on the team. Or maybe the fog is just the conditions at the Pats' practice rink. If that picture truly reflects the conditions on the ice, I'm shocked they even played.....how can anyone even see the puck?

In Chilliwack, David Robinson wants to be a leader on the Bruins this season. And Mark Pysyk is ready to step up this season in Edmonton too.

In Saskatoon, the Blades are particularily pleased with one 15 year old, and just to the north of that, the Raiders are very happy with two 15 year olds in their camp.
