Seattle lands NHL first-rounder

From TSN, the Ottawa Senators have signed their 2007 first round pick, U. of Minnesota center Jim O'Brien:

At least according to TSN, he is likely to report to Seattle this year since he has now lost his NCAA eligibility by signing with the Senators. If so, a big plus to the Thunderbirds as O'Brien is a solid all-around player with a big frame. Plus he is only 18 this year so they're likely getting him for the next two seasons.
