Pretty good night last night at the NHL awards for the Kelowna Rockets.
A pair of ex-Rockets defencemen won two of the biggest trophies up for grabs. Duncan Keith of the Chicago Blackhawks won the Norris Trophy as the NHL's top defenceman, while Tyler Myers of the Buffalo Sabres won the Calder Trophy as the NHL's top rookie.
Ex-Blazer Shane Doan won the King Clancy Trophy for "leadership on and off the ice" as well.
Pretty good endorsement for the WHL overall....
