Yet another overager on the move today now - Saskatoon has taken the first step towards relieving their glut of 20 year olds by sending forward Travis Toomey to the Seattle Thunderbirds for a 2011 4th round bantam pick.
My first thought is a 4th round pick seems a bit high considering that Toomey was probably well down the depth chart amongst Saskatoon's eight overage candidates, and the fact that Saskatoon isn't really dealing from a position of strength with so many players to move in the next four weeks. But whatever.....Toomey will bring some size and toughness and a few points to the Seattle lineup.

Yikes Seattle ! this is a guy who would have gotten dropped. He is that bad. I mean if your going to pay a 4th for a guy in Stoon it should have at least been Acolatse.
Yes I also agree with the last comment. The Blades won this deal. Seattle overpaid IMO.
I would hope that he would bring toughness to the Seattle line-up. He sure did not really bring that in Saskatoon. Not too sure what you mean Alan? He does not fight that much, but he does lay a few good hits now and then, otherwise he is too soft. Just my opinion.
Seattle got rid of Acolatse last season for a reason. No way are they going to re-acquire him. Maybe this was payback for the Jeremy Boyer deal last year when Seattle got a player (Burzan) and a pick (3rd rd) that both should be on the T-birds roster next season.
