Couple notes this morning...
First, Vancouver has traded disgruntled 18 year old forward Brandon Scholten to the Prince George Cougars for a 2012 fifth round bantam pick. Scholten had declined to report to the Giants training camp and had asked for a trade.
Also, Regina has waived overage forward Cassidy Mappin, a move which probably brings a close to his WHL career. The Pats are now down to just one overager again.
Players are starting to trickle back from NHL rookie camps now, so look for more and more cuts to be made in the next few days.
