Deadline early returns

Two weeks have passed now since the WHL trade deadline. Obviously it is very early yet and the true winners and losers of the trades that were made won't be known until after the playoffs - or in many cases, not for several years, when draft picks have turned into players that are either in the league or not.

But for fun, a quick look at how all the players traded since the Christmas break are doing with their new teams:

You can see that Saskatoon, Kamloops, Calgary, and Everett are the four most improved teams since the deadline. It's funny since only one of those teams made moves to load up their roster. The others were sellers, tinkerers, or stand-pat types.

The teams with the biggest dip in their win percentage since the deadline are Tri-City, Prince Albert, Brandon, and Seattle. Again, somewhat unexpected to see Brandon in there since they made one of the biggest splashes at the deadline in acquiring Sundher. Tri-City was a buyer too, although only in a minor way (Mychan) since Brett Connolly is still in the NHL.
