Cuts coming

The WHL exhibition season wrapped up last night, and the regular season gets underway in just three days, with Vancouver & Kelowna kicking things off on Thursday night.

Most teams are still carrying 27 - 32 players or so, which means that we can probably expect to see at least a couple cuts made this week from every team in the league as they try to get down to something closer to a 23 to 24 man roster.

For some teams though, final cuts depend on when they get their NHL campers back. Teams who still have 4 or 5 players at NHL camp are probably not going to be cutting down to 23 or 24 players until they have most/all of their NHL guys back....gotta keep enough players around to ice a 20 man game roster for regular season games of course.

Is there a WHL/CHL limit on how many players you can keep on your active roster? As mentioned most team will be 27-32 until they get there NHL's back. And in early October cut down to 3 overagers.
