As one coaching vacancy gets filled, another opens up....
The Regina Pats let head coach Curtis Hunt and head scout Todd Ripplinger go this morning. After three consecutive missed playoffs (two with Hunt behind the bench), I guess this shouldn't be too surprising that there are changes being made.
Meanwhile, Seattle has a press conference scheduled for later this afternoon to announce their new head coach, who replaces the departed Rob Sumner. Speculation is the new coach will be former Portland Winter Hawk, Steve Konowalchuk, who has been an assistant coach lately with Colorado of the NHL.
