As I have done the last few years during the leadup to the WHL bantam draft (this year's version is 9 days away - next Thursday, May 3), I've once again tried to figure out which teams own which picks in the draft, and how they got those picks.
A friend has come through with some info which has helped me iron out the gaps in my data here and I believe this list is now as close to 100% accurate as I'm going to get it. So, here's the 2012 bantam draft order, with traded picks:
First Round:
|
I think this round is pretty straightforward. Not really any questions about these traded picks.
Second Round:

Notes on this round's picks:
#26 - the WHL, Silvertips, and Winterhawks have never officially announced what Portland got from Everett for allowing the Silvertips to hire Davidson as their General Manager. Gregg Drinnan reported that a source told him it was two 2nd round picks, in 2012 and 2013, so I've gone with that here. But it's not official.

Eighth Round:

Notes on this round: Swift Current owes Vancouver a 2012 8th round pick for Eric Walker. But, Seattle already has Swift's 8th round pick from the Ryan Aasman deal. So, I am not sure which pick Vancouver is getting for Walker or whether that pick will slide to 2013?
