Couple player moves this morning to mention.....first, the Kamloops Blazers have filled their overage hole through the return of Brady Calla from the AHL. This is obviously a pretty significant addition to get a player of Calla's calibre back unexpectedly.
I wonder if the Blazers will now owe Moose Jaw something extra for the Calla-for-Ellerby trade last year. After all, Calla's back in the WHL as an overage and Ellerby is not, and sometimes these trades have clauses attached to them that provide for additional compensation if one player plays as an overage. Guess we'll see.
The other move is that the Raiders have added Cole Penner back to their lineup after he was cut during the preseason for lack of comittment. Penner was the 4th overall pick in the 2006 bantam draft but so far has yet to make much of a mark at the WHL level, mostly due to the off-ice problems he has had. This is probably his last kick at the can with the Raiders. With the AJHL's Brooks Bandits so far this year, he had 12 points and 107 PIM in 16 games.

Per Drinnan's original story, the Warriors will get a fourth round bantam pick.
