Best as I can tell, these are the current roster players which WHL clubs will be losing to World Junior camps, World Junior tournament itself (both A-pool and B-pool) and World U-17 Challenge, with the dates that they are expected to be away. Players merely attending their country's WJC tryout camp at this point will only say "camp" until they are actually confirmed on their teams.

Alan: David Steiler from the Broncos has received an invite to the Czech Junior try out and i'm told will be leaving December 9th.

Kelowna's Tyler Myers holds dual citizenship, and has been added to Team USA's roster.

Hey Justin - where did you hear about Myers? He isn't on the roster on USA Hockey's website and I can't find him mentioned anywhere as being on the team?
Myers won't be trying out for the US team this year. He is close to getting his dual citizenship and may have a choice to make down the road.
Has Myers ever played for the USA at an IIHF-sanctioned tournament? If so, his decision is already made and he can never play for Canada. Once you play for one country at an IIHF event, you can't play for another one.
I know he played for USA in that Ivan Hlinka tournament in August, but I don't think that is an IIHF event.
If the Rockets don't make the 2nd round of the WHL playoffs, Myers will likely be in demand for the World U-18s in April. Whoever he plays for in that tourney would decide things.
I stand corrected, Myers was not named to the US roster. A local media outlet (Castanet) reported that he had, and that's what I was going on. Sorry!

Alan: I checked on the status of Steiler this morning with the Broncos and was informed they still are not sure of his status with the team. There was an inquiry made on his availability and that is where it stands. No confirmation yet that he will be going.
Alan: I got confirmation today that Steiler is not going and will accompany the Broncos on their U.S.trip. Sorry for the mis information but it was only an inquiry on if he was available. This has been confirmed.
