Monday notes

News and notes after the weekend....

16 year old Justin Feser is making a big impression on the Tri-City Americans. And in the Americans-Thunderbirds clash on the weekend, the Pickard brothers found themselves in opposing nets.

As one of the elder statesmen on the Hitmen blueline, Michael Stone is hoping for bigger roles and bigger things this year.

The Chilliwack Bruins have come up with an NHL camp invite in an attempt to woo disgruntled overage forward Evan Pighin back into the fold. He'll be off to NY Rangers camp, no doubt this having something to do with the fact that Rangers G.M. Glen Sather is one of the owners of the Bruins.

Rebels goalie prospect Cam Gorchynski turned in a pretty impressive performance in his exhibition debut. He was cut yesterday though....but watch for him next year.

In Kelowna, Curt Gogol is hoping to show he can do as well in the WHL with the gloves on as his dad Brent did when the gloves came off.
