Back-to-school this morning....just packed the oldest munchkin off to her first day of kindergarten. Why does it seem to be harder on the parents than it is on the kids?
News and notes from around the league this morning....
One of the key battles at Lethbridge's camp is for backup goalie, after the retirement of Michael Maniago. There's three kids looking for that one job.
Kelowna's new import is finally in camp and comes with very high expectations. Like, how does winger on the top line sound for a rookie?
Who's the most surprised person that 16 year old Adam Kambeitz is still in Rebels camp? Well, that would be Kambeitz himself.
The Blades released a veteran this morning.
That's it.....light day on the news I guess....

Leaving one's child to the care of others for the first time is a traumatic event. There are a number of Parents throughout the league right now suffering a similar feeling regarding their kids; only in a different manner: 16 and 17 year old boys from Manitoba heading off to the West Coast and vice versa. It is very tough.
