Saskatoon trades one and cuts one. Defenceman Brett Ward is off to Moose Jaw for a 2008 4th round pick, and forward Craig Cuthbert has been sent to Jr A.
The Ward move surprises me.....the Blades blueline is young and inexperienced enough already and Ward was about the most experienced guy of the bunch.

Unfortunately Brett Ward was no more than a 7th defenseman on the Blades behind Zahn, Funk, Klassen, Niemi, Elliott and Patterson. You don't need to keep a 19 yr old 7th dman around i'm affraid.
