Bantam draft - second round

One trade to announce before we start the 2nd round picks....Chilliwack has traded defenceman Matt Strong to the Vancouver Giants for Vancouver's 8th round pick in 2010. Strong will help patch up a Giants blueline which will take major losses from this year's team.

Also, the details of the Edmonton-Chilliwack deal are out - the two teams swapped first round picks, with Chilliwack also sending their first round pick in the 2010 import draft to Edmonton. In return, Edmonton also gave up their first round pick in the 2009 Import draft, a 5th round pick in 2010, and defenceman Shayne Neigum.

And the Prince George - Tri-City deal was a straight swap of first rounders, with Tri-City giving the Cougars their third round pick today in order to move up.
