Road to Rimouski

Quick snapshot of how other leagues are progressing along the road to the Memorial Cup...

OHL:

Windsor eliminated London last night (thus ending the junior career of John Tavares, who will be on Long Island next year as a 19 year old), winning the series 4-1 with all five games going to overtime.

The Spitfires now await the winner of the other semifinal between Brampton and Belleville. The Battalion currently lead the series 3-1, with game five tonight in Belleville.

QMJHL:

Drummondville has matched the Hitmen's feat, sweeping all three of their series so far, and qualified for the final last night by completing their third round sweep of Rimouski. For the Oceanic, they may have lost in the 3rd round but they're still going to the Memorial Cup of course, as the hosts.

The Voltigeurs await the winner of the other semifinal, which currently has Shawinigan up 3-1 over Quebec. Game five is tomorrow night in Quebec.

So who do you think the final four will be in the cup finals. I dont think the Giants or Rockets will get by the Hitmen. Here are my picks.

Calgary
Drummondville
Rimouski
Windsor

I thought Tavares, like Brian Burke, was going to fulfill his lifelong ambition of joining the Leafs next year?

most people are likely salivating at a Calgary vs. Windsor mem cup final, granted Calgary makes it.
