What a turn former Broncos defenceman John Negrin's season has taken. On Wednesday, the day after his WHL career ended with a game 7 loss to the Tigers, the NHL's Calgary Flames assigned Negrin to their AHL club....nothing unusual about that, most signed NHL prospects get sent to the AHL after their WHL season is done. But today, the Flames summoned Negrin to the NHL after an injury last night to Robyn Regehr.
Negrin is expected to make his NHL debut with the Flames tonight in Minnesota. From the downer of being eliminated in a game 7 on Tuesday, to making your NHL debut on Friday. It's been quite a week for Negrin, to say the least....

It's the text of the judge's decision in the lawsuit filed by former WHL player Josh Morrow (older brother of current Winter Hawks defenceman Joe Morrow) against a surgeon who Morrow alleged botched a shoulder surgery performed while Morrow was a member of the Kamloops Blazers. I read the whole thing, and it's quite interesting reading...and if you don't feel at least some sympathy for Morrow after reading what he went through....
