It's 20 past noon here in Calgary, just under 3 hours til the deadline. Nothing happening yet today though, but I expect that to change in the next couple hours.
We know Swift Current needs to move a goaltender, either Travis Yonkman or Mark Guggenberger. The grapevine has Yonkman heading to Kelowna....which would have to trigger another trade involving Kris Lazaruk leaving Kelowna.
Another deal that has to happen today is the Rockets need to move an import, probably Lukas Matejka, so that they have a roster spot for Mikael Backlund when the Calgary Flames assign Backlund to the Rockets.
Red Deer did add another goalie to their roster to replace Morgan Clark, who they dealt last night. They have summoned 16 year old Cam Gorchynski from his AAA midget team, the Fraser Valley Bruins.
