The Flames have finally officially assigned Mikael Backlund to the Rockets today.
Since the trade deadline has passed, the Rockets' only move left here in order to add Backlund is to release Lukas Matejka. Not fair to Matejka but you don't get a chance to add a player like Backlund to your lineup every day.
