CSB midterms out

NHL Central Scouting has their mid-season player rankings out. Amongst North American skaters, two OHLers are #1/#2, John Tavares and Matt Duchene. At #3 though is Vancouver's Evander Kane, who has vaulted ahead of Brandon's Brayden Schenn to be the top-ranked WHLer by CSB.

Schenn is in the #5 spot overall. Spokane's Jared Cowen is #7 and Lethbridge's Carter Ashton is #10.

Hard to argue with Kane overtaking Schenn, Kane has been lights-out this year for the Giants and his performance against the best juniors in the world at the WJCs surely only improved his status in the eyes of many NHL scouts. It's not that Schenn has been having a bad year because he hasn't (hence the #5 ranking) but Kane has just been that good. Personally I think Kane is a lock to go in the top ten in the draft this year and might even go in the #3 spot behind Tavares and Victor Hedman if he keeps this up....he is an inch taller than Duchene and has better numbers too.

Is this just a list of 91's? Do they list the 90's or other unselected but eligible players? I can see a lot of older, unselected guys out there who are head and shoulders above this crop.
