Two more deals

Couple deals tonight, both involving the Broncos. First, the Broncos have moved out surplus overage defenceman Jesse Dudas; he is off to the Regina Pats (who had an overage opening) for a 2010 4th round pick.

Then, the Broncos acquired 18 year old goaltender Morgan Clark from the Rebels for a 2010 5th round pick. This is the more curious move - for starters, it means Red Deer needs to add another goalie to their roster since Darcy Kuemper is the only one they've got now. So there has to be another move coming there.

But it also gives the Broncos three goalies, which very likely means that either Travis Yonkman or Mark Guggenberger are going somewhere tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Is Yonkman a 20 year old? If he isn't, any chance Kisio looks at Yonkman as security for Jonesy?

Yes, Yonkman is an overage, so it's pretty unlikely that the Hitmen will have any interest. Calgary already has one of the best overage groups in the league with Bortis, McMillan, and Seabrook. Not likely to be any changes to that group.

I hear Yonkman is going to Kelowna. Not sure what the Rockets would do with Kris Lazaruk in that case. Guess we'll see.

Mucha to Red Deer ??

Only if Portland is giving him away.

Red Deer isn't going anywhere this season so why would they want to trade for a top-flight 19 year old goalie who might not be back in the WHL next season?
