Most intriguing move of the day was a late one, Seattle picking up the rights to Oscar Moller from Chilliwack for the rights to Andrej Palat (who didn't report to Seattle this year) and a 2010 4th round pick which becomes a 2nd round pick if Moller reports to Seattle this year.
Losing the rights to Palat is not a big deal, the Birds can replace him at the next import draft. But, the Birds have given up a 4th round pick (no small potatos there) even if Moller never plays for them. A 2nd rounder if he DOES play for them is a fair price but a 4th rounder just to acquire the rights to a guy who's in the NHL and probably no more than a 50/50 shot at best to ever see the inside of the new Kent arena? Hmmmm.
